Hello everyone.

This site will be a direct link to keep you up to date on the poets of Poetry Ensemble of Orlando. This wonderfully talented ensemble was formed as a means of free expession, and has been working at their craft for several years with published works all over the web and in print. This ensemble (Ensemble n [L un + simul], at the same time) of poets enjoys creating and performing all over central Florida.

Alice R. Friedman writes memoir and fiction as well as poetry. She has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Central Florida and a Paralegal Certificate from Rollins College. She was a journalist for 15 years and participates in Woodstream Writers’ workshops. Her creative writing has appeared in Sunscripts, The Other Herald and on the websites of The Orlando Sentinel and Poetic Logic of WMFE-FM. In 2007 a memoir” won first prize for non-fiction in the Mount Dora Writers Contest; and in 2005 she won Honorable Mention in the Page Edwards short Fiction Contest for “Summer Dream Revisited.” she is currently working on a chapbook collection of her poetry.

Leslie Halpern is the author of three nonfiction books, "Reel Romance. The Lovers' Guide to the 100 Best Date Movies," "Dreams on "Film. The Cinematic Struggle Between Art and Science," and the forthcoming "Passionate About Their Work." Her poetry has appeared in the award-winning anthology "Windows to the World," "SciFaiKuest Magazine," "True Romance Magazine," "The Mother is Me," "The Journal of Graduate Liberal Studies," and other publications. Leslie is the 1997 winner of The Mentor Award, a national writing contest based on true mentoring experiences.

Estelle Lipp has won literary awards for prose and poetry. Her illustrated book of poems, "Heartspeak," was published in 2005 and her short stories and poetry appear in the anthology, "Florida Shorts." She has recently published two poetry chapbooks: "Colors" and "Inside," and is currently working on an illustrated children's book. Russ Golata is an award winning poet that lives in Central Florida. He is a member of the Vista Writing Circle of Orange County. Hosts 1st Mondays@ 11/12 Lounge for the Orlando Poetry Group. ( http://www.meetup.com/poetry-362/ ) Has been widely published in print and on the web including Autumn Leaves, Poets Against the War, NewsinVerse, and Haiku Now. Robert Osborne has been writing poetry occasionally over the last ten years. Two years ago his interest in writing was rekindled and he continued to write poetry. He participates in Woodstream Writers' workshops where he has begun work on a memoir and a short story, which he hopes to have published in the near future. Bob is an electronics engineer who pursues writing as an avocation in his spare time.

Oral Nussbaum resides in Winter Springs Florida. His Hobbies of Writing and art compliment his nev er ending quest for spiritual growth. He is a co-leader of a writing group and organizer of a monthly spiritual discussion group. He has been published in Dream Flight newsletter in London England, Deaf Digest and Velocity magazine. Was also the winner of the Ensembles 2010 poetry contest.
